But here we are finally making it to Dubai & now writing the ultimate Dubai Travel Blog! If you have previously visited countries like Thailand, Singapore etc. you might have a visual of man-made high- tech countries, still you would definitely love this city to its core for everything it offers to all age groups which might be beyond your expectations and here is our Dubai itinerary 7 days.
Info : Dubai Travel Blog : Dubai Itinerary 7 Days
Dubai is a city in United Arab Emirates(UAE) which is located in Western Asia and also is the largest one. UAE has 7 emirates in total namely – Abu Dhabi (which is the capital) Dubai, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah & Umm Al Quwain bordering Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar & Iran. The locals here are known Emirati citizens. You can feel the glow and twilight of Dubai from the flight right before landing. We loved Dubai for its glam & glitters all around. It is absolutely multi-faced city we think, where you feel like a Royal & Bedouin at the same time.
Things to know before you go : Dubai Itinerary 7 Days : Dubai Travel Blog

You can either use UAE DIRHAM OR DOLLAR which is easily accepted everywhere. If possible try to carry some hard cash also for your own convenience else plastic money can be used mostly everywhere. You would even find many ATM’s around all corners of the city which is fantastic.
2. Budget : Dubai Travel Blog
Dubai as a city is expensive as well as cheap. Everything depends on how you want to spend your money for stays & food. If you are planning of Dubai you can use the this Airbnb link to book your stay, if you wish to do a trip on budget. And can even book some luxurious properties if you are looking for some real glam. Here is our rough estimate for budget trip:
- Hotel : Budget Stay(30$ per night), Mid Range(60$ per night)
- Transportation : Metro Charges(3-10 AED one way per person), Taxi Charges : Max 70 AED per day as per our itinerary
- Airport Transfers: Taxi(50 AED for Hotels in Bur Dubai, 80 AED for Stay in Downtown, 120 AED for Stay in Marina)

You will find restaurants and cafes in every directions your eye’s goes. You name any cuisine and Dubai has it all! Be it eating at fine-dining or at any local joint, you would not be compromised with quality we assure you that.
4. Language: Dubai Itinerary 7 Days
Islam is the official language here but, in this entire nation mostly all people speaks and understands English, so it won’t be very difficult in communication. Also it’s a very global nation in terms of settlement so honestly you would find people speaking every bit of everything. The people are very friendly and would definitely help you with anything you would ask for.
5. Best time to visit: Dubai Itinerary 7 Days
We would definitely recommend to visit Dubai during winters (NOV-MAR) as during summers (MAY-AUGUST) it faces extreme hot and humid climatic conditions & you might feel you are inside a moving oven.
6. Wears: Dubai Itinerary 7 Days
You must be really mindful while packing for Dubai. As it’s an Islamic city, you might not be allowed to enter the mosques with shorts and too much of skin reveal. Try packing a few full length dress and scarves to cover your head whenever necessary. For rest of Dubai wear anything and everything you wish and also don’t forget your favorite bikinis for beach lounging.
7. Safety: Dubai Itinerary 7 Days
Dubai is extremely safe to travel around be you are a solo traveler or with family at any hour of the day.
8. Transportation: Dubai Itinerary 7 days
Local taxi’s are the easiest mode there for moving around, meter starts from 5 AED and keeps adding 2 AED per km. But the airport taxis( which are bigger than normal starts from 8AED). However we felt it to be expensive & rather invested in a metro card ( we recharged for 50 AED/ card) which was very economical and fast as well. This metro cards can also be even swiped at taxis which was really helpful.
9. Visa: Dubai Itinerary 7 Days
Indians need to get Online Visas done before landing in Dubai. One can receive tourist visa very easily with all valid documents within 3-4 business days & which is valid for 3 months. If you are flying with Emirates then we really suggest you to get your Travel VISA through them here. It’s pretty easy!! Cost is roughly 90$.
NOTE: It’s a public holiday in Dubai on Friday & Saturday.
10. Flights: Dubai Itinerary 7 Days
Usually for landing in Dubai, Emirates has a very good connectivity from all prime locations. Still you check with flight departures & from which part you are boarding in & if you get any cheaper options available
11. SIM CARD: Dubai Itinerary 7 Days
Get your SIM card(all networks works equally fine) from Dubai airport itself as they really provides good deals on airtime & data’s. We used DU which costed us 50 AED with 30min international talk-time and 1.5GB data bundle.

How we planned our Dubai Itinerary 7 days : Dubai Travel Blog
Dubai has hell lot of things to explore and to see in awe, which you might not be able to finish even in months. But these are our best recommendations & what you can expect for Dubai itinerary 7 days.
DAY 1 : Dubai Travel Blog : Burj Khalifa, Fountain Show, Dubai Mall with Aquarium
We boarded our flight to Dubai from Seychelles which took about 4hrs to reach. We landed by 5am and after the immigration got our local SIM card activated. Once we were out of the airport, there was a queue of airport taxis outside. You can bump into any of it and which doesn’t need any prior bookings. Anyway we reached our hotel before time, completed all check in formalities and got our keys to the room. We freshened up and came downstairs to finish our breakfast and after that took our much needed power nap. We were really- really tired. Waking up at 1pm on clock got ready for our Dubai tour. I (Puja) was so excited to see the city actually, Riju already had been there once before for his office tour.
We stayed at ‘Canopy by Hilton’ which was in an area called ‘Bur Dubai’(next to the beautiful Dubai Creek) and mostly it connected all major attractions. The nearest metro station was Burjman metro station which was just 15min walk. Boarding the metro we reached ‘Dubai Mall’ metro station in less than 10min. So our first and last stop for the day was the humongous Dubai Mall which also has the entrance to the iconic ‘BURJ KHALIFA’.
Burj Khalifa
Pre book your E-tickets for Burj Khalifa (we suggest you purchase beforehand to avoid any hassle. You can get best deals for Dubai trips/activities through Get Your Guide) or avail tickets on arrival. We would definitely suggest to go for sunset hour which is between 4-6pm( the charges are relatively high) but it’s completely worth the view. It’s a skyscraper in Dubai which is also the tallest structure in the world.
It has 163 floors in total and only 124th & 125th are accessible to tourists. The elevator which takes you to that height is the fastest lift ever made which reaches the 124th floor just in 60sec, amazing right?
Fountain Show
See the amazing sunset from Burj and later come down for the beautiful light & music Fountain Show (free to all) at the backside of the mall. It starts from 6pm and repeats after every half n hour. So don’t worry if you miss the first.
Dubai Mall – Visit Aquarium
As we mentioned this mall is gigantic & a whole new world in itself, its absolutely not possible to see the whole of it in one day. Also there is a sea aquarium in the mall itself where you can go and swim with all the marine life inside the aquarium (199 AED per person).
Dubai Mall is open till 12am so you can explore the most of it and quench your shopping spree. You would only find high end brands there & stores at this mall which are really very expensive. Eat good food out of many restaurants there, and gaze with awe at everything you wish. It was really fun for us. We almost walked for 6-7hrs until it was time for closing. Also make sure to wear good walking and comfortable shoes & once you are done head back to hotel.
DAY 2: Dubai Travel Blog : Visit Dubai Gate, Stay at Atlantis The Palm, Dubai Atlantis Aquaventure Water Park, Atlantis Dubai Lost Chambers Aquarium
It was a special day because it was my Birthday- hurrah!! We finished our breakfast at ease at Hilton and later checked in to one of our dream hotel at ‘Atlantis- The Palm’. On the way visit Dubai Gate.
Things to do at Atlantis The Palm
Atlantis normally allows check in by 3pm, however you can keep your luggage at reception and enjoy the complimentary access to Aqua Park and Aquarium. We received our room keys by 12pm. Trust us it was one of the fanciest hotels we have ever stayed in our life. Every corner of it was absolutely gorgeous. The best thing was that they upgraded our room to one of the beach facing suite which the just the cherry on my birthday cake.
Aquaventure Water Park & Lost Chambers Aquarium
If you are staying with Atlantis, then access to the Aqua Park & Lost Chambers gets included with the room tariff. But you can still enjoy the fun at aqua park and lost chambers just by purchasing tickets from the walk -in counters. (320 AED per person & 110 AED per person). We really enjoyed the overall water park experience, the rides were amazing. You can also finish your lunch at any of the food joints available (it’s little expensive inside). It would also cost you some extra amount for locker service if you carry & deposit any valuables.
In the evening before heading for dinner we went for Atlantis Lost Chambers Aquarium. It’s basically a huge sea aquarium with some vintage touch to it. We ended our day with some good wine at an Italian fine dining restaurant inside and explored walking around each and every corner of that beautiful hotel. We thought of keeping the day at ease as it was special.
If you are staying in other hotels, in the evening you can even go for an amazing ‘Dubai Marina Atlantis Yacht Tour’ which departs from Dubai Marina.
DAY 3 : Dubai Travel Blog : Miracle Garden & Dubai Global Village
Dubai Miracle Garden
You can start your day by 11am having a lazy morning. Finish your breakfast and directly reach Dubai miracle garden(entry 55AED per person). On entering you would see yourself in a whole new fairy world. It’s absolutely beautiful with 150 million varieties of flowers blooming inside that whole acre. If you have kids, they are going to enjoy this flower garden to the fullest. Spend good 2-3 hours there and also you can munch something for lunch inside. Next board a taxi and you can directly head towards…
Global Village
It is a theme park in Dubai, which has decorated cultural artefacts, food and shopping stores of more than 50 countries at one place. It’s one of the largest shopping leisure & entertainment hub which you would not find anywhere else (entry 15AEDper person).
The global village opens at 4pm (so not point of reaching too early) every day and its open till 12-1am. Go around all the country zones and make the most of your time indulging in best food & fun from all around the world. There is every-bit of entertainment for all age group. Children would really enjoy the most, going for toy rides and lot more fun activities, that huge area holds. Usually to explore the entire area it would need almost 5-6 hours. We already had tired feet by the end still it wasn’t enough. It’s really a fun & exciting place to see.
Some of the food we tried & liked
- Turkish Borek with cheese
- Matka Kesar Chai from Pakistan
- Very famous Emirati Luqaymat (local dish, must try)
- Turkish Simit Bread
You will be hell tired by the end of the night so, go back to hotel and doze off!!
DAY4 : Dubai Travel Blog : Offbeat Dubai : Day trip to Hatta Mountains, Visit the Sharjah Mosque & shop at Meena Bazar
Get ready for surreal views today. The day was going to be long. We started our day early by 8am. Finished our breakfast and boarded our pre-booked cab for ‘HATTA’ for a day trip. It lies alien of Dubai in the UAE covered with Hajar Mountains bordering Oman. It is 130kms far from Dubai & needs at-least 2hrs to reach via Sharjah-Kalba route. So for a day we were ready to leave the city and explore something natural and different. The road-trip was just amazing with the natural beauty and mountains surrounding.
Things to do in Hatta
It would feel like a very primitive village once you enter and has more of peace to it. Also it is very famous for some of the adventure activities specially Kayaking & Hiking trails. Go for the beautiful experience of kayaking and other water activities at Hatta Dam. We went for kayaking and loved it so much. The weather might be hot during the day so go as comfortable as you can. Carry some eatables and water bottles handy which you might need during your journey. You can directly walk- in to the office & collect your tickets for the water activities they offer. It doesn’t need any advance bookings at all. You would not find that place to be too crowded, which we really liked. We also enjoyed hiking around the place which had surreal views.
Later you can also visit the Hatta Museum where you can get a brief idea about the lifestyle & culture of people living there (no entry charges). We went for a a day trip, but you also have an option to spend the night at some of the hotels there. You can definitely check out Hatta Caravan Park which are UAE’s first caravan located inside Hatta Vadi Hub. It would surely be an amazing idea to stay at a fully furnished tucked caravans under the illuminated sky.
Sharjah Mosque
On our way we thought of visiting the SHARJAH MOSQUE, which we only could manage to see from outside. It’s a huge mosque which you can surely check out. They weren’t allowing tourists inside the mosque for Covid-19, so we could not go in. The mosque was even beautiful from outside after it was lit up, and we have spent lovely 10 mins listening to the evening Azaan there.
End your day at exploring the streets of Meena Bazar
We reached back to Dubai lights by 7pm and directly went to the very famous Meena Bazar. It’s one of the oldest and busiest gold & textile market you would find. What you need just name it and get it right at your fingertip. Also bargaining is the key there. Eat good food, shop your favorite brands do whatever your heart feels like doing because Meena Bazar won’t disappoint you!!
DAY 5: Dubai Travel Blog : Sky Diving, Dubai Marina, Jumeirah & Kite Beach, Souq Madinat Jumeriah & Jumeirah Mosque
Sky Dive Dubai at Palm Dropzone
I (Puja) have waited for this day for so long. A dream come true in reality for me. Guess what?? it was the day for my Sky Diving!! We booked our slot a week prior via DUBAI SKY DIVE, which is the only & only skydive institution in Dubai. If you have this in your bucket list too, than it’s the right place where you can experience a whole new world which you would have never imagined. We started our day eating very light breakfast as instructed (eat at least 3hr before). As we were supposed to reach by 10.45 we took the metro and later a cab to reach Dubai skydive. After all the formalities and briefings here comes the wonderful moment of my life I have been waiting for. Check out my Dubai Sky Dive video in our YouTube channel TheWingedVisas.
Later after ½ an hour of walking and grabbing meal on the way we directly headed towards…(you can also take a cab if you wish).
Dubai Marina
Dubai Marina is an artificial canal city known for the beaches. It is also a residential complex with variety of cafes and pop-up craft markets across the waterside promenade of Dubai Marina Walk. It’s a complete leisure complex with all fine- dining restaurants and sandy beaches to relax and spend your day. You can also opt for yachts cruise through the large man-made marina there in the evening overlooking the beautiful city.
Visit Jumeirah Beach & Kite Beach and see iconic ‘Burj Al Arab’
We did not spend much time in Dubai Marina and boarded a taxi for Jumeirah and then Kite beach to see the gorgeous sunset. This beach is located on the cost of Persian Gulf. It’s a huge stretch of beach from where you can see the iconic ‘Burj Al Arab’ at its best. There is nothing much to do there but we really liked to spend our evening there watching the beautiful seagulls squawking and the sun going down. We would highly recommend to be there during the sunset hour as the sky looks absolutely stunning during that time.
Souq Madinat Jumeirah
We didn’t had much to do for that evening so thought of exploring some other hidden gems around. We walked for another 2-3miles to reach out to this gorgeous place called the Souq Madinat. Basically is also a shopping mall and traditional bazar under one roof with a vintage Arabian touch to it. You can also find dining areas inside where you can finish your last meal. We found this place is less crowded and not that touristy. We enjoyed taking a stroll looking at the souvenir and many art & crafts shops inside. You also get great views of ‘Burj Al Arab’ from here.
Jumeirah Dubai Mosque
On our way back to room, thought of checking out the last place for the night and that was the Jumeirah Mosque. It was a bit far from Souq Madinat so we directly hired a cab. It’s always open for visitors (make sure you wear covered dress) if you wish to go inside the mosque. We did not wish to enter as there were some prayer going on, so instead photographed from outside. It’s a very peaceful place to be in. Sitting at a bench under a tree and spending some time with self.
We drove back to room by 9pm.
DAY 6: Dubai Travel Blog : Dune Bashing & Overnight Camping at the Desert
The morning was at leisure for us. We booked our dune bashing package from OCEANS TRAVEL through Get Your Guide. The package includes – Dubai red sand bashing, Sand boarding, unlimited came rides, night desert walk, barbecue dinner with entertainments, overnight Bedouin style stay and breakfast. There are many agencies who provides these offers but we would highly recommend to check with Oceans Travel and if possible ask for guide named Rashid, who was amazing. They are very professional and will take care of everything you would be needing at your comfort.
Red Dune Bashing & Sand Boarding : Dubai Travel Blog
So by 2pm the car was at the gate for our pick up. It’s was a drive for 45mins while we reached the first stop of the day for quad biking. Post quad biking we went for Red Sand Dune Bashing. We loved it, trust us it was hell amazing! We got into a vantage point and did our Sand Boarding which was way too much fun!!
Sunset with Camel Ride & Entertainment show at Camp : Dubai Travel Blog
And after that we drove to the camping ground which was again a drive of 20 more mins. By the time we reached there were already too many tourists who drove in. The sunset looked amazing from Arabian desert . Riju went for camel riding while I stayed back clicking 100s of photographs. Inside you would find to be the area with multiple tents laid under each guests name. Once we settled down we were served local coffee and eatables. The entertainment shows started from 7pm which included the Fire Show, Tanoura Dance & Khaleeji Dance.
Stay overnight at tent under the stars & go for night desert walk – Feel like Bedouins : Dubai Travel Blog
By 9pm we were severed with barbecue dinner which was ok, but the overall experience was lovely. Most of the people left back for their hotel after all the events, but our plan was to stay back and enjoy one Bedouin night right in the middle of the desert. It was something very first time for us & we both were absolutely looking forward to that night. At first we went for a short Camel Ride and then Desert Walk under the stars with our guide telling us stories and history of Bedouins and the place – it was magical in the Arabian Desert. We felt we went back to the bygone era, far away from the sky scrappers of current Dubai. Once back to the camp, we sat outside our tent gazing at the night sky full of stars lighting Hookah along with a cup of mint tea. Everything just felt right and peaceful, you know!
Sunrise with Camel Safari and enjoy Arabian Style Breakfast : Dubai Travel Blog
While at night our tent felt nothing less than a 5 star hotel, we had a very comfortable & peaceful sleep. The following morning around 6am Riju again went for Camel riding and sunrise. I (Puja) was still on bed till 8am. We finished our breakfast by 9am and later our guide drove us back to our respective hotel.
DAY 7: Dubai Travel Blog : Day at Leisure – In the evening get a feel of Old Dubai at Bur Dubai Gold Souq, Dubai Spice Souq, Dubai Creek & Dubai Museum
We kept this day at leisure lounging around the swimming pool all morning to evening. We would highly suggest to keep a day at Leisure just doing nothing and soaking in the views of Dubai Skyline from one of the many infinity pool property Dubai has to offer.
Again if you don’t have enough time to spare at leisure, you can also check out Dubai Gold Souq, Dubai Spice Souq, Dubai Creek & Dubai Museum if you wish. The best way yo go to spice & gold souq is by boarding a ABRA boat from the creek(1 AED per person). You will surely like the experience. Go for it without a miss.
We had a great time in Dubai without realizing how fast our time went. Hope our Dubai travel blog helps you all to plan trip of yours as fun as ours!!
