We went in shoulder months and the crowd was crazy, overfilling the restaurants and every single corners. To find the ‘Little Venice’ might be difficult at first, so it would be great if you can seek help from the locals. Because of the houses on the water, this neighborhood is referred to as Little Venice, its very pretty.

This is a great place to hangout order coffee/booze and enjoy the spectacular sunset. About the beaches here, we felt are okay and not something out of the blue. Don’t expect white sand and blue lagoons, but yeah beaches are clean and good enough for sun bathing and lounging. From the old port the nearest bus station is Fabrika station from where we boarded the bus(1.8 Euro per person) to reach one of the most famous beach called Platys Gialos Beach. You can also check out Paranga, Paradise, and Super Paradise beach which are the other popular beaches here.

This is a Byzantine church and the name means “Our Lady of the Side Gate” in Greek. This church dates back to 1425 and it took nearly two centuries to finish. This is no ordinary church as the   building is composed of five separate churches which are all connected with each other and are dedicated to different saints.

Budget three-star hotels starts from 60-150 Euro in peak season, although you can usually search for Airbns which are cheaper starting at 35-80 Euro per night. Also prices are comparatively low during the off-season. Accommodation prices in the town are the most expensive, so you can book your stays outside the town.

Food is expensive in this island, especially if you want fine dining experience it would cost you 15-20 Euro for main dish and 5-7 Euro for a glass of wine. However we tried to cut down our budget on food and survived just by eating Gyros. It’s the best in town we had in a while. As breakfast was served in the hotel, for lunch and dinner we made it for 8Euro per person.
