Paris – Some Memories Never Fade!!

It’s the French capital and this city holds sets of surprises for all venturers. Paris is the most glamorous and luxurious city which attracts millions of travelers around the world. Various song writers, poets and many more have expressed their love for this city and it’s really hard not to fall in love with this amazing place. We were one of them who had Paris in mind since long. Visiting Paris was once a dream which turned into reality soon, and we are so grateful because this is the city we desperately wished to visit at least once.

Being a designer by profession and Paris being the fashion capital always had it on my mind. Its style and sophistication towards luxury brands to street style fashion always drew my attention. So finally we stepped in Paris in one beautiful summer and our excitement was endless and being there with the person I love made it more special and definitely we would love to revisit.

This city has lot to explore right from major tourist attraction, cafes to parks and neighborhoods, which has so much of layers in everything. Paris is full of history, art and culture and famous for its distinct wine and dine. The best time to visit France is from Apr-June and Sept-Nov, as June-Aug is the busiest time of the year in Paris and it might get over crowded.

Top 3 Attractions of Paris

The Eiffel Tower

This is the most iconic monument in Paris and it would be an incomplete trip without a visit. You can either take a metro and get down at the Trocadero stop. It would take 5mins on the subway and about 10mins walk to the Eiffel. If you wish to take a bus which is the easiest mode of transportation in Paris it just stops near the tower itself depending on which direction you are coming from so please be connected with the GPS.

It was built in 1889 standing 324 mtrs tall and seriously offers the best view of the entire city from the top. Climbing the stairs can be tiresome which has 300 stairs from one level to the other. It also has a restaurant on the 2nd level but mind you eatables are really expensive there. You can even have a picnic on the grass around and enjoy the summer sun. It’s one of our favorite spots in the city. Try to carry an wind cheater irrespective of the weather as it gets windy at the top of the Eiffel.

We had the best time in the evening there, so please mark your visit to witness the gorgeous tower sparkling nothing less than a diamond in the night sky. The view can’t be expressed in words rather you have to experience all it by yourself. Paris feel like a different world in the evening. So yes it’s a must visit in the evening.

Later you can also visit the Wander Rue Cler which is located near the Eiffel tower which is filled with Persian eateries and distinct wines. It’s one of our favourite street too to wander.

Visit the iconic Louvre Museum

Louvre Museum is the most visited museum and is a historic monument in Paris established in 1793. This is a formal royal palace and inside you would find some of the most iconic art pieces starting from the very famous Mona Lisa painting to Death of The Virgin to name a few. It generally operates on Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am-6pm and Wednesday, Friday from 9am – 9.45pm and it remains closed on Tuesday.

Louvre is just 3kms away from The Eiffel which might take around 40-50mins by foot. Also you can get there by public transportation but we would suggest walk along the beautiful streets of Paris if you can. It is located on the right bank of river Seine which is home for more than a million master pieces and you can even spend a whole month still having a chance of missing some. So it would be a great idea to download the museum app to get around. 5 to 7hrs would just pass in the blink of an eye.

Don’t miss a Cruise at River Seine

Glide under various bridges and discover Paris which is beyond words or imagination. Enjoy a fine candle lit dinner or you can also go for afternoon cruises and enjoy the beautiful view of the Eiffel, Mousse d’Orsay and Louvre from River Seine. Honestly Paris tour would be incomplete without a cruise ride.

Do you know on the South bank of River Seine you will be amazed to see a replica of The Statue of Liberty which came as a gift to Paris by the Americans.
