London in everyone’s heart!! At least for once!!

It was something we saw for the first time and for the last time – London.

Millions of people wish to travel to London and we were one of them. It’s one of our favorite destinations so far and we would definitely like to go back several times without a second thought. It’s a very interesting city to step in for fashion, amazing weather all-round the year, culture and bit of everything on the move. Doesn’t it sound perfect?

It was summer when we visited London which is basically is from June to September. People love their summer sun and you will find many central parks where people love coming out for a stroll.

The streets are often found crowded as it’s the homeland for diverse population. But let us add London is one of the most expensive city so be prepared with your budget. London’s winter is from Dec – Feb which might really get cold, so pack your bags mindfully and slay your style across the streets. It may rain anytime without any prior notice, so yes be prepared with umbrella or raincoats.

What excited us the most was the vintage red telephone booths or telephone kiosk which we only saw over television. These red booths are very unique and can be  seen in every alley of London. It is said to be the British cultural icon which you can’t find anywhere else in the world.

If you visit London in November you will be lucky enough to experience the bonfire night which is held on 5th Nov where the entire city is lit up with fireworks after dark.

London is a huge city, Riju and me loved taking a walk in the evening along the river Thames with pigeons everywhere, pass along the London Eye which ends up at Tower Bridge.

You can also visit the open air cafes and have some of the best English breakfast/meals. Also there are plenty of food trucks tugged around the city that calls for a good munch. We absolutely went gaga over Nutella crepes!!

London Dreams and attractions:

London Eye

Entry charges may vary between 27 – 30 pounds. This place should not be missed if you wish to have a aerial view of London city. It’s absolutely picture perfect. The London Eye is a motorized wheel with a boarding platform on the bank of river Thames which gives a panoramic view of the city overlooking the Big Ben.

Big Ben

It is one of the post card picture of London and we are sure everyone would love to visit that. Big Ben is the striking clock in the London borough of Westminster.

Buckingham Palace & The Albert Memorial

We were extremely heart-broken as we could not enter the property as there was an ongoing birthday celebration of the Queen. Tourists can visit the royal palace which only remains open from July to October.

The Albert Memorial in Kensington Gardens is one of the London’s most decorated monuments. The Memorial is coated with multiple layers of Gold. The Albert Memorial faces The Royal Albert Hall which was built several years later after the construction of the memorial.

Madame Tussauds

It’s one of the most visited wax museum which we will highly recommend to visit. It would cost around 52 pound per person and would take you approx. 2hrs to mark the overall tour. This is a museum of wax replicas of famous celebrities around the world which are displayed all over the gallery.

Who else is a Sherlock fan!! You can ask me how much I am?

Westminster Abbey

It is a royal church in the centre of London of St. Peter at Westminster. It is a very famous attraction site where royal coronations, weddings and burials are held. It’s very beautiful from outside but not worth visiting inside. You can make a choice.

Pubs

It would be an understatement if you don’t visit the pubs in London, so make out your way to the amazing nightclubs, watch a football match, hear the crowd going crazy and discover how London treats you being high.

Catch the Sunset Cruise

You can also go for a river cruise at Thames and you can have the best view of city lights.

We will always cherish the memories we brought home with us and writing this blog made us extremely happy and nostalgic.
